The epic adventure, now on mobile

Titan Quest is a free-to-play adventure experience set in the world of Greek mythology. This mix of fantasy elements on a role-playing game from the HandyGames team lets you create your own character and explore ancient Greece, becoming stronger and ultimately stopping the Titans from destroying the world.

While ultimately revolving around Greek myths, Titan Quest will bring you across a host of ancient civilizations. Its visual designs match that of the 2006 original game and offer a lot of in-game content, similar to Torchlight: Infinite. This mobile port also includes the DLCs, although those require in-app microtransactions.

Immerse yourself in myths and legends

In Titan Quest, you take the role of an adventurer tasked with stopping the Titans, who have escaped from their prison in Tartarus, bent on destroying the world. You start with a massive customization option to create your in-game avatar. Then, like most RPG adventure titles, you explore maps, complete quests, and level up. The base game itself is already good for 60 hours of gameplay.

Content-wise, the game is enjoyable for long, with added replayability value. There are over 150 character skills across 30 character classes, with all movement and skill animations featuring top-tier graphics and immersive sound effects. Even the controls are visually striking but do not interfere with the game screen. Additionally, these controls follow the usual touchscreen mapping, making them intuitive. You can also use supported external controllers for this one.

While the game offers a lot of content already, the story continues through its expansion packs. Unfortunately, these DLCs are only available through in-app purchases. These DLCs include adventures into the Greek underworld, the Norse realms, and the lands of Chinese mythology. Other issues in the game revolve around minor glitches and bugs, such as the controls being unresponsive at times or the game randomly crashing.

An all-around fantasy adventure

Titan Quest serves as a great mobile port. While the original game was released back in 2006, its transition to mobile devices only serves to improve its value. The large volume of content from the base game is included, you get massive options from customization to skill builds, and there are optional expansion packs for you to enjoy. While there are opportunities for improvement, it’s still worth trying.
